Not only because of the legal obligation, but also because of the membership in the Federal Association of German Business Consultants (BDU), we take your rights to protect your personal data very seriously. We always act in accordance with the laws on data protection and data security (e.g. Federal Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Ordinance). For visitors to our website

In the following, we will first explain what information we collect during your visit to our websites and how it is used.

1. Use
when accessing our website
Every time you access our website, the internet browser used on your device (computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file.

The following data is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:

  • IP address of the requesting computer, as well as device ID or individual device identifier and device type,
  • THE URL and name of the file retrieved and the amount of data transferred, as well as the date and time of the retrieval,
  • Notification of successful retrieval,
  • requesting domain,
  • Type of Internet browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your device, and the name of your access provider.

Our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR for the collection of data from website visitors is based on the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection and convenient use of the website,
  • Evaluation of system security and stability as well as
  • for other administrative purposes.

In no case will we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.

2. Use of
our contact form
In case of any kind of questions, we offer you the possibility to contact us via a form provided on the website. At least a valid e-mail address and your name are required so that we know who the request originated from and in order to be able to answer it. Further information may be provided voluntarily.

The data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out in accordance with Art. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR based on your voluntary consent.

The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact form will be automatically deleted after the request you have made has been completed. Your data will not be transmitted to third parties.

3. Use of Google Analytics and Cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc.for the on-demand design and ongoing optimization. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called Cookies, which are usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

These are small text files that your browser automatically creates and are stored on your device when you visit our websites. In a cookie, information is stored, which results in each case in connection with the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we are immediately aware of your identity.

However, if IP anonymisation is activated, your IP address will be truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of us, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of these websites, to compile reports on the activities and to provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Section 15 para. 3 TMG in conjunction with Art. 1 lit. F GDPR.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of these websites to the full extent. 4. Using the services of Google Maps
We use various Google services to display the routes and location information on our website. These are in detail Google Maps, Google Maps Directions, – Distance, – Geocoding and – Geolocation. These services provided by Google are integrated into our website via so-called API interfaces. We have no knowledge of whether and, if so, what data will be transferred to Google when using the Google Maps services. 5. Social Media Plugins
We use social media plugins of the social networks listed below on our website.

    When you click on the XING button on our website, your browser establishes a short-term connection to the servers of XING, with which the “XING Share-Button” functions (in particular the calculation/display of the counter value) are provided in order to observe your visiting behaviour in relation to the “XING Share Button”. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the website, have no knowledge of the content of the data actually transmitted and their use by XING.     Clicking on the LinkedIn button connects to LinkedIn’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by LinkedIn directly to your browser and integrated by it into the website. This will forward the information that you have visited our website to LinkedIn. If you are logged in with your LinkedIn account, by clicking on the LinkedIn button, the visit to our website can be assigned directly with your profile. Even if you do not have a profile, it cannot be ruled out that your IP address will be stored by LinkedIn.

For candidates and candidates

1. Purpose of data storage
As a personnel consultancy, we are contractually commissioned by companies to address and present qualified candidates for open technical and management positions. Vacancies are to be filled by a person who is technically and personally suitable and who is generally willing to change.

Your data is used exclusively for processing and checking whether we can take you into account for current and future vacancies. In this context, there are no automated decision-making or profiling procedures.

2. Scope of data stored
In order to fulfil our mandate for checking the accuracy of the fit, we need in particular your

  • Name, address and contact details
  • Information and documentation on training, qualifications, professional experience and, if applicable, references, provided you give your prior consent to the collection
  • Expectations and preferences for your future career
  • Current contract data (remuneration, notice periods)

Freely available data from you – for example from the Internet, from technical articles or other publications – we only collect if you have a connection to your professional and personal qualifications.

Your personal data (including the application documents) will only be passed on to third parties with your prior consent. Third parties are in this case exclusively contact persons on the customer side (your possible new employer, who is already known to you by name) within the management, your possible specialist manager or the HR department.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Section 26 of the German Data Protection Act (new). The data is stored exclusively in our own secure IT system. Data is not transferred outside the European Union.

Your rights

On request, we will be happy to inform you if andwhich personal data about you are stored (Art. 15 GDPR). You also have the right to correct incorrectly collected personal data or to have incompletely collected data completed (Art. 16 GDPR).

Furthermore, you have the right to request from us the restriction of theprocessing of your data, provided that the legal requirements for this are met (Art. 18 GDPR).

The granting of consent to data storage is voluntary. You may request us at any time to rectify, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data. In addition, you are entitled to the so-called “right to be forgotten”, i.e. You can request the deletion of your personal data from us, provided that the legal requirements are met (Art. 17 GDPR). A simple e-mail to datenschutz@schuhmann-pb.de is enough. However, the processing of the data up to this date remains lawful.

The data of website visitors sent by us and linked to cookies, user identifiers (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs will be automatically deleted after 14 months. Data that has been stored is deleted automatically once a month.

Irrespective of this, we will automatically delete your personal data if the purpose of the data collection has been omitted or if the data processing has been unlawful.

You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time, provided that a right of objection is provided for by law. In the event of an effective revocation, your personal data will also be automatically deleted by us (Art. 21 GDPR).

There is a right of complaint with the competent data protection authority (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information NRW).

Timeliness and changes

This privacy information is as of January 2020. Further developments of the websites or legal requirements may require a change in the data protection declaration.
